Head Teacher Pastor Geoffrey Kamya
Welcome to the Kirinya Children's Centre Uganda
The school started in iron sheets and timber where snakes, vipers, poisonous caterpillars and other such dangerous creatures could attack our children and even teachers while in class which always caused interruptions.
Due to the limited classrooms at that time, two classes could be taught using one classroom which was not benefitting the pupils.
We could not raise funds to build and not even to renovate the classrooms because all our children were vulnerable from poor families.
When mummy Helen connected to the school in 2014, it started to be lifted structural wise, staff wise and also the children’s number increased from 96 pupils to 300 pupils now of which 100 pupils Nursery and 200 pupils primary. We have also managed to sit 4 groups of candidates from 2018 for their Primary Leaving Exams. The school children are fed well, teachers are well paid and we now see the progress of the school.
Thanks Mummy Helen Margaret Owen and Helen Margaret Owen Foundation for standing with us.
